Scope

CEC provided gravity and lateral structural engineering services on this unique remodeling project that included the removal and relocation of an entire portion of the rear wall, and the temporary support of existing framing while installing new beams necessary to create an open floor plan.

Large glazed curved walls and an irregular cantilevered deck provided an engineering challenge to satisfy the architect's design intent, while selecting adequate building materials capable of supporting the structural loads.
